Meet Our In-House Oral Surgeon, Dr. Samuel Liu

Dr. Samuel Liu is a fellowship-trained oral and maxillofacial surgeon. He completed the prestigious accelerated program through the University of the Pacific, finishing his undergraduate and dental school studies in five years. He then completed a 4-year residency program in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Howard University Hospital in Washington, D.C. and then accepted a one-year fellowship in Pediatric Craniomaxillofacial Surgery at the University of Pittsburgh.

Dr. Liu is excited to be back in Southern California where he grew up. Since completing his training, Dr. Liu has been active in the oral surgery community and has given many invited lectures on various topics. Although his passion is in orthognathic and cleft surgery, he is happy to offer full-scope oral and maxillofacial surgery. Dr. Liu is also a part-time attending in the Harbor UCLA Medical Center training program for Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery where he oversees the surgical training of residents. He is a member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, American Dental Society, West Los Angeles Dental Society, California Dental Society, and the American Cleft Palate-Craniofacial Association. In his free time, Dr. Liu enjoys reading, hiking, and cooking.
