Oral health is important for everyone, including you and your family. We agree, which is just one of the reasons we hope you will visit our team at Hawthorne Smile Spa in 2021 and many years to come.
Since 1985, Dr. Arlene M. Joyner has been helping families in and around Hawthorne, CA receive high-quality dental care. Today our team members remain committed to maintaining that personal and professional approach to dental care.
We welcome a wide variety of patients at our practice, and we would love to meet you and your loved ones. Call 310-982-4895 to learn more or to make your next appointment with us.
We are confident that you will be happy with the care that you receive right here.
We Love To Teach
We are primarily a pediatric practice, so we see lots of young people every day. We know that you are doing your part to encourage your kids to have good oral health habits at home.
We are here to support you and to reinforce the importance of daily oral hygiene. The American Dental Association and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommend:
- Brushing twice daily
- Flossing daily
- Making professional checkups part of your regular dental care routine
We are happy to demonstrate how to brush and floss. We will gladly answer questions you may have about what kind of toothbrush to use or flossing alternatives.
We want you and your family to be fully informed about the best ways to keep your smiles healthy and looking great.
We Offer High-Tech Treatment
Dental technology has come a long way. One of the biggest benefits of these advances is that it makes dental visits easier for kids and their parents.
By incorporating technology into our practice, we can make visits more comfortable, more efficient, and more effective. A lot of kids even tell us they find it fun to visit us.
One great example of this is our laser dentistry. By using lasers, we can perform painless dental fillings when kids get cavities. (And half of kids in the U.S. will have a cavity by the time they turn 11 years old.)
When local anesthesia is needed, we use a tool called The Wand to provide pain-free injections. This isn’t magic, although it might seem that way.
To monitor changes to your little ones’ smiles, we can use digital panoramic and cephalometric X-rays for precise images. With these tools, we can detect problems early.
We Welcome You
Every family is special in its own way. We are happy to help you and your loved ones.
If you or someone in your family has special needs, our team looks forward to doing all we can to make dental care easier for you. We are trained to serve members of our community who may prefer to do things their own way.
